Nigeria head coach, Stephen Keshi,has finally dropped the AS Monaco left-back, Elderson Echiejile, ahead of the 2014 Fifa World Cup finals in Brazil.
Echiejile has been sidelined by a hamstring injury since the international friendly with Greece and has been training separately from the squad under the supervision of the team doctor, Ibrahim Gyaran.
The former Sporting Braga defender has undergone a scan and it has been revealed that the result remain inconclusive.
Nigeria are still permitted to make a late replacement 24 hours before their first game against Iran on June 16.
In a similar development,german wonder Kid Marco Reus picked up an ankle injury last night in a friendly match against Armenia in Mainz in the 42th minute,Mustafi has already been called back to the squad to replace him.
