Conchita Wurst Victory is Austria's first in 49 years.
UK commentator Graham Norton said Wurst had "won the heart" of audiences.
Wurst, who has shot to fame in the run up to Eurovision, performed her song, Rise like a Phoenix, dressed in a golden gown complete with her full beard.
